About our Founder
Dr. Mark Levine is a board-certified psychiatrist and the founder of Community Psychiatry, one of California’s largest private multi-site group practices. He established this practice in 2001 to ensure access to mental health services by accepting patients’ insurance as full payment, significantly enhancing accessibility to psychiatric care. Over more than two decades, Community Psychiatry grew to encompass numerous locations across California, providing care to thousands of patients weekly.
In addition to his work with Community Psychiatry, Dr. Levine founded Mind to Mindful, a nonprofit organization focused on integrating mindfulness with traditional psychiatric treatments. This organization collaborates with major health systems like Sutter and UCLA to promote mindfulness training among medical professionals and patients.
Dr. Levine completed his residency in psychiatry at California Pacific Medical Center and earned his MBA from the University of Michigan. His professional efforts have centered on reducing stress and enhancing well-being through both clinical practice and corporate settings, offering innovative programs and tools for mental health management.
